some of you may know, the first official trailer for Marvel's upcoming film, Ant-Man, was released earlier this week, during the premiere of their new television series, Agent Carter.
The movie follows the adventures of Scott Lang, a former convict, during his time as the costumed hero known as Ant-Man.
The basic story of the film seems to have an aging Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man, hiring former criminal Scott Lang to replace him in the role. This is a bit of a contrast from the comics upon which the film is based, where Lang steals the suit from Pym. The suit is equipped with a belt that gives the wearer the ability to shrink, using a special formula known as "Pym Particles", and a ant-themed helmet that allows its user to communicate telepathically with insects.
Scenes from the trailer depict Scott as Ant-Man, using the suit to shrink, and riding upon a flying ant. Hank Pym is also seen giving the suit to Lang, and asking him to "Become the Ant-Man".
The film is set to be released in theaters July of 2015.
